Torsional vibration measurement (TVM)

A torsional vibration measurement records the loads occurring in a drive system caused by torsional vibration. Knowledge of these loads enables predictions to be made about the lifetime of the drive components. It helps you decide what measures are required to reduce vibrations.

Frequent reasons for performing a TVM:

  1. Prototype test
  2. Causal research in case of loss
  3. Causal research in case of unusual vibrations and increased noise emission
  4. Preventive torsional vibration monitoring

Your benefits

  • Precise knowledge of loads in the drive system
  • Prevention of premature failures of individual drive components or the entire drive system
  • Initiation of selective measures for vibration reduction
  • Validation of the drive design
  • Time and cost saving during troubleshooting
