Design and function
The Hygrip connection coupling consists of a twin-walled pressure sleeve. It is pressurised with oil to 1,200 bar and sealed with a valve. This results in a completely backlash-free friction connection.
The torque transmission capacity and the axial forces are proportional to the oil pressure. The connection can be set and released very quickly if a suitable hydraulic pump is used.
