Voith automatic transmissions can be installed without problem in Mercedes-Benz busses Citaro, Citaro Ü and Integro.
Transmission and electronic control unit are optimally adapted to the environmentally compatible, low-emission engines employed by Mercedes-Benz. Adaptation to the traffic situation at hand is made by selection of the most suitable axle. This selection in turn is based, for instance, on the operating data saved in the electronic control unit of the DIWA transmission. This data also allows to select the optimum engine output.
The four shifting programmes in the electronic control unit, reaching from "economy" to "power oriented", allow further adaptation to the needs of the transport operator.
