Commercial use of solar thermal power stations leads to the operator being faced with new challenges in the field of maintenance.
Together with a pilot customer and partner companies, Voith Turbo Trading has developed two vehicles for the cleaning and maintenance of the reflecting surfaces of the parabolic collectors and the absorber pipework of Solar Thermal power stations. Use of these vehicles increases plant efficiency and reduces the absorber pipework maintenance time.
The product range comprises two vehicles:
- ELCOS - a vehicle to clean the mirror surfaces of parabolic trough collectors and the absorber pipework of Solar Thermal power stations
- DRENOS - a tank truck with heatable tank for draining and interim storage of thermo-oil in the event of maintenance work carried out in sections of a Solar Thermal power station
